I ordered three medals from a company in Cluj via internet: gold, silver and bronze. They cost about 20 Euro, transportation included. During the evening of 13 February 2009 I awarded the medals to the four artists, as two of them were in fact a duo.
The Romanian Businessmen Club encourages discretion as to the members of the organization, but it also supports the right of the artists to privacy. I was requested no to publish my own photos from the ceremony.
The symbolic nature of the gesture underlines the engagement of Romanian businessmen with the emerging contemporary art scene in Romania.
